Mob: 021 394558 Rachel has been a freelance writer and qualified journalist since 2011 when she graduated from AUT University’s post-grad journalism course. She cut her journalism teeth as a radio and newspaper reporter before coming to work at Onehunga Community News. UK-born Rachel has lived in and around the central Auckland area for over 20 years with her husband and two daughters, and loves writing about and being involved in our local community. |

Mob: 021 2366975 Sharleen has lived in Onehunga all her life, and went to the same local schools that her children currently attend. She studied Community Health at AUT, then went on to work with children at special schools – a job which she found very rewarding. She enjoys writing, and looks forward to meeting other locals and sharing stories through the Onehunga Community News. |
Mob: 021 455623 Andrea is a trained journalist, and has worked with people and words throughout her career - mostly in not-for-profit organisations. She freelanced for a time as a proof reader and book editor, and has written for radio, magazines, and newspapers. Andrea has lived with her family in One Tree Hill for almost 30 years, and her two sons both attended local schools - Oranga Primary, Royal Oak Intermediate and Onehunga High School. She enjoys being part of this community, and is interested in family history, researching the past, and helping people record their memories and experiences for future generations. |

A recent law graduate and a Health Science student at AUT University, her interest in writing and local community issues, led her to pursue a position at Onehunga Community News. She enjoys keeping informed about current affairs, and her interests lie in health issues and animal welfare. Priyanka is looking forward to writing and contributing to the community. |
Mob: 021 1373459 Tim Plant is a graduate of AUT’s Bachelor of Communication Studies, Tim has been with Onehunga Community News since 2006. He has worked on TV documentaries and can also be seen occasionally in the background of shows like Shortland St. He is also Secretary of the Onehunga Cricket Association and the Onehunga Combined Sports Trust. |
