Beware of the bunnies around town on Saturday, the 15th of April. They will be handing out Easter eggs to young shoppers, between 10.30am and 2.30pm, as part of the Onehunga Business Association’s Easter promotion. The fun will continue at the Sir William Jordan Recreation Centre, managed by the YMCA, where there will be bouncy castles, face painting, a magic show and more, from 11am to 3pm. With so much for children to do, this is a great way to start the school holiday.
The OBA’s promotion runs from the 4th to the 18th of April. A colouring competition and Easter egg hunt, with great prizes to be won, will also keep the children busy in the early part of the holidays. Shop windows around Onehunga, including ten in Dress Smart, will display Easter eggs for families to find and record.
Paper Plus has donated a Chrome Book bundle as first prize in the 9-10 year-old colouring competition, while the OBA are donating Ipod Touches as the first prize for the 5-6 and 7-8 year-old challenge. The successful entrant in the Easter Egg hunt will win a huge hamper of goodies donated by local businesses. Entry forms are available online from the OBA website, through local schools and in the OBA office. Completed colouring competition and egg hunt entries can be returned to Paper Plus Onehunga, the OBA, YMCA at the Jordan Recreation Centre, Onehunga Library and the DressSmart management office.
