A popular fundraiser for the YMCA, the Dog Day Out sessions at Jellicoe Pools will take place on Sunday the 7th of May. While up to 400 dogs get to swim and splash in the outdoor pool before it closes for the season, the entry fee of between $5 and $7 will go towards sending local families to the YMCA’s Family Camp.

Tickets can be bought from reception – up to 100 pre-sales per session at the cheaper $5 price will guarantee entry. Door sale tickets are priced at $7, and there will be 100 for each session. Cameron Kerr, manager of the complex, promises there will be lots of fun canine activities, and some giveaways.  But he warns that all dogs must be registered, and proof (a current council-issued dog-tag) will be required. “We will have Auckland Council animal control on site on the day.”
